October will see the long-awaited commissioning of the studio-in-The-Studio, a digital recording facility that will record some of the amazing concerts they host throughout the year. The Studio at Sydney Opera House has become established as a unique venue offering amazing acoustics coupled with a warm and intimate space.

The Studio’s Craig Donarski says that part of their success stems from presenting performers in unusual formats or collaborations – such as Katie & Tyrone Noonan from the group George with the Fourplay string quartet.

“ We want younger people to feel like there really is something for them here, breaking down any residual ideas that Sydney Opera House is only about ‘high’ culture” says Craig.

This month The Studio is offering two double passes to Live Radio Plays on September 19 to News Flash readers. See sound artists and producers creating live sound effects, musicians and DJs conjuring the soundtracks and watch the actors bring three tales of the city to life.
