It is a chocoholic’s mecca. The world’s first Lindt concept store is a feast for all senses, including the eyes.

Enormous boxes of chocolate gradually filled in the windows of the Lindt concept store

Located in the old Banc Restaurant site in Martin Place, Sydney, this stylish store and café environment offers a haven for city office workers, city dwellers, visitors and tourists.

In the lead up to the store’s opening Lindt wanted to conceal the work being conducted inside, yet at the same time grab the attention of passers-by.

To achieve these goals the team at Foote Cone & Belding developed the concept of enormous images of empty chocolate trays, placed within the windows of the prominent Martin Place building. As the weeks went by, huge chocolates gradually filled the empty trays, creating curiosity and interest for the high turnover of footpath traffic that flowed by the building each day.

The choice of graphic application was also valuable because it allowed the heritage listed space to remain intact without damage.

If you are nearby, be sure to drop into the Lindt Concept Store at Martin Place to experience (and taste) the delights for yourself.
